Viewing Niagara Falls

Step off the bus to view the main attraction. It is a magnificent sight that can be enjoyed by anyone driving through Niagara Falls. Stand at the brink of Horseshoe Falls. Do not miss the opportunity for group photos and selfies.

Take a Boat Cruise to the Base of the Falls

The Hornblower Niagara Cruise’s Voyage to the Falls is a boat ride that takes you so close to Niagara Falls, you will be soaking wet. Wear the complimentary rain poncho and board the 700-passenger catamaran for the ride of a lifetime. The boat passes really close to the American and Bridal Veil Falls before heading to the Horseshoe Falls. The roar of the water as it plunges down creates splashes that will drench your group. A time for some great group photos!

Journey behind the Falls

This is definitely a must-see attraction. You take an elevator down into the bedrock behind the Horseshoe Falls and then walk through a tunnel which has portholes cut into it to view the Falls from behind. You will then emerge onto a viewing platform hewn out in the Niagara gorge close to the base of Horseshoe Falls. Get ready to be mesmerized by the tonnes of water falling from the cliff of the Falls.

Queen Victoria Park

Spring and summer are the best times to visit this park which stretches along the Niagara Parkway. Well-maintained gardens and plants and trees from all over the world can be seen. It is a great place to rest for a while and take scenic photos. You can see the American Falls from the park. In April, you can enjoy the sight of thousands of daffodils.

Clifton Hill

Some might call it garish and cheesy, but Clifton Hill is still popular with tourists. Tacky wax museums, Ripley’s Museum, Nightmares Fear Factory, and Dinosaur Adventure Golf are just some of the attractions. You can take a ride on the 175-foot Niagara SkyWheel.

Skylon Tower

Take a ride in the exterior elevators to the top of the 158-metre tall Niagara Falls landmark. Enjoy the view through the glass enclosed elevators. At the top, there are indoor and outdoor observation decks. See Niagara Falls and get a 360-degree view of the Niagara region.

Lunch at a Fallsview Restaurant

There are many restaurants in Niagara Falls that offer a view of the Falls. Skylon Tower has two restaurants – Summit Suite Buffet and Revolving Dining Room. Another great place for a group lunch is the Sheraton Fallsview Buffet Restaurant.

Floral Clock

This 40-feet diameter clock on Niagara Parkway is a unique attraction. The clock face is made up of flowering plants. Great for some photos!

Niagara Whirlpool and Whirlpool Rapids

Downstream from the Falls, you will see class 5 whitewater rapids and further down a giant whirlpool at a bend in the Niagara River. You can descend into the Niagara Gorge and take a walk on the boardwalk along the rapids. The view of the gorge from the river shore is beautiful and you will see nature at its unspoilt best.

Visit a Casino

Niagara Falls, Canada has 2 casinos – Fallsview Casino and Casino Niagara. Try your luck with friends at gaming tables and slot machines. The minimum age for gambling is 19.

Botanical Gardens

Spread over 99 hectares, you will see beautiful gardens with perennials and seasonals, a rose garden, and plants and trees from all over the world. See thousands of beautiful butterflies fly freely in a rainforest setting in the Butterfly Conservatory.

Taste Niagara Wines on a Winery Tour

The Niagara region’s unique climate is ideal for vine growing and you will find acres of vineyards stretching out as far as the eye can see in the countryside. Niagara-on-the-Lake, just outside of Niagara Falls, has many vineyards and wineries. Visit a winery for a tour and a lesson in wine tasting. You can taste the sweet Niagara icewine too!
