As part of the Winter Film Series: Black America on Screen, Niagara Falls History Museum will be screening Middle of Nowhere on February 22, 2018.
This drama follows a woman on a path to self-discovery as she is torn between her imprisoned husband, family and another man.
The film takes a look at how the lives of family members of an incarcerated person are affected. They put their lives on hold so they can visit and provide moral support to their jailed family members.
The movie is directed by Ava DuVernay and won the Best Director Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012.
