Opened in July 1951, the Whirlpool Golf Course is one of the most highly rated and well known golf courses in Canada. It was designed by Stanley Johnson who has built over 150 golf courses worldwide. It is a beautiful course, set on the backdrop of Niagara Falls. The golf course hosts both local and international tournaments and had its one millionth player in mid-1980.
After completing eighteen pleasurable rounds of golf, you are able to enjoy a great meal overlooking the golf course at the Whirlpool Restaurant. The best Niagara wines are available and children are also catered for. A unique feature of the restaurant is that it is also open to the general public, so even if you want a casual meal in a panoramic setting, you will feel at home at the Whirlpool Restaurant.
Golf digest has rated the Whirlpool Golf Course as a four star facility over the past few years. There is a pro shop onsite and lessons are available for private individuals and groups. The rates range from $45-$100, depending on the package you choose. The rates include tax and a power cart.
