The Tower Hotel opened for business on July 1, 1962 and was the first observation tower built near the Niagara Falls.

The Tower Hotel is 325 feet (99 metres) tall, however The Tower Hotel was built on the top of the moraine overlooking the Horseshoe Falls so it actual stands 525 feet (160 metres) above the Niagara Falls, providing a spectacular viewpoint.

It was originally known as the Seagram Tower, named after the House of Seagram which was a Montreal based business.
However, because of ownership changes the Tower Hotel has had many different names including; Heritage Tower (1969), Royal Inn Tower (1971), Royal Center Tower (1972), Panasonic Tower (1973), Minolta Tower (1984), Konica Minolta Tower Centre (2003), The Tower Hotel (2010).

Thе tower boasts thrее crow’s nest ѕtуlе ореn оbѕеrvаtiоn decks аnd оnе еnсlоѕеd оbѕеrvаtiоn аrеа. The fоurth flооr iѕ completely еnсlоѕеd in tinted glаѕѕ and is specifically dеѕignеd fоr tаking рhоtоgrарhѕ. It аlѕо contains three elevators аnd two ѕtаirwауѕ. The еlеvаtоrѕ are designed to саrrу up to 900 реople per hour.

The Tower Hotel offers luxury and deluxe Fallsview rooms which are located on floors 27 and 28 of the hotel. The deluxe rooms have a view of the Niagara Cityscape while the luxury rooms have a view of the Niagara Falls.

The International House of Pancakes (IHOP Restaurant) is located on the 26th floor of the Tower Hotel. It is a great place to eat breakfast while overlooking the beautiful scenery.
