Do you enjoy experiencing the strange and unusual things that this world has to offer, Robert Ripley did, and he was the inspiration for the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium. A cartoonist and anthropologist, Robert Ripley travelled the world illustrating and document the new and strange things he had observed. He opened up his first museum, The Odditorium, in Chicago in 1933 followed by ones in San Diego, Dallas, Cleveland, San Francisco and New York. The museum in Niagara Falls has been opened since 1964 and was renovated in 2016.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum houses over 15 themed rooms and over 900 exhibits for the public to enjoy. One of there main attractions is the authentic shrunken heads and the decorated Tibetan skulls. You can stand beside the World’s tallest man, sit in a giant’s chair, observe some toast art, see a three-legged chicken, check out some fossils, and learn about ancient weapons from around the world. At the odditorium there are countless exhibits displayed that will stimulate the mind and curiosity of any visitor.
