Come and enjoy a weekend of everything lavender!
Organized every year by Niagara Essential Oils & Blends (NEOB) on their farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake, this year the festival will take place on July 7th and 8th 2018.
July is the time when the lavender fields are in full bloom and ready for harvest. Come and take a walk in the beautiful fields covered with purple lavender flowers, tour the facility and learn how lavender essential oil is made at the farm’s distillery.
Niagara Essential Oils and Blends or NEOB is Niagara’s first and only commercial lavender grower and essential oils producer.
The festival celebrates the harvest of NEOB’s charity field in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The field is harvested after the festival and all profits from the essential oil produced from that harvest are donated to charity.
NEOB makes a number of products that include high quality essential oils, body and skin care products, home décor, edible items, sprays and mists, and much more. Visit the boutique filled with real essential oil products.
During the lavender festival, there will be numerous tents displaying various lavender products.
Many people believe that lavender is only used for its fragrance in soaps and air fresheners. Visit the Niagara Lavender Festival and learn the full range of uses for lavender.
You can also check out and shop at the various tents put up by local vendors.
There will be cooking and baking demos highlighting the use of lavender in cooking. Sit in at the demos and learn a few recipes and sample some of the goodies on display.
In addition to lavender pizza, visitors could also sample lavender ice cream, lavender lemonade, lavender short bread, lavender brownies and lavender scones. Most of the recipes are created by Melissa Achal, co-owner of NEOB.
The festival has grown every year with more visitors stopping by and many displays added each year.
You can also be part of a charitable drive. Each visitor is given a lavender plant to grow at home. The lavender harvest can be brought back to NEOB and all profits from the harvest are donated to a charity.
It is a great place to visit if you are looking for organic alternatives to various products. Find out about the many uses of lavender oil – it is a mosquito repellent, treats dandruff, heals burns and scars, etc.
NEOB has an extensive variety of lavender products that make you feel good about yourself. Their store offers many lavender products including sparkling lavender infused waters, lavender shortbread, lotions, soaps, face, body and foot balms. The lavender foot balm is one of the best products for dry, cracked feet.
Come and visit the festival to enjoy nature and shop for organic products, arts, crafts, and food.
The organizers allow you to sample all products.
