Niagara Falls State Park in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York State, USA, is the oldest state park in the United States. It contains the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and part of the Horseshoe Falls – the 3 waterfalls that make up the stunning Niagara Falls.
Visitors to the US side of Niagara Falls have to visit Niagara Falls State Park to see the Falls – it is the only place on the US side from where Niagara Falls can be viewed.
Established in 1885, Niagara Falls State Park was formed to preserve the natural surroundings of the Niagara River and Niagara Falls. The park stretches over 400 acres. The Niagara River flows through the park and visitors can view the upper Niagara rapids
The park is open 24 hours a day throughout the year. There is no entry fee to enter the park, though there is an admission fee to some of the attractions inside the park.
Goat Island, Three Sisters Islands and Luna Island are some of the islands on the upper Niagara River that can be visited in the park.
