Location: 9935 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada L2G 0P1
The Willoughby Historical Museum located on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls offers an insider’s view of the rich history surrounding the area. The former one-room schoolhouse has its own distinct charm. It introduces visitors to the area known as Willoughby as well as what school was like in the past.
Among the items on display include old report cards, photographs, tools, and family heirlooms. The museum is donation-based and doesn’t charge admission except for what an individual or family wants to give to the museum. Visitors of all ages are welcome to step into the past and get an idea what life was like for people in the area centuries ago.
Many parts of the exhibits are interactive including the weaving loom and the operating system which allows visitors to still make calls. The museum is closed during the winter. Guided tours are available with advance notice.
