THINGS TO DO ON CANADA DAY IN NIAGARA FALLS
There are so many things to see and do in Niagara Falls on the days leading up to Canada Day. To mark Canada’s 150 birthday on July 1st, the city of Niagara Falls will host 150 different events throughout the year. If you are taking a trip from Toronto to Niagara Falls make sure you do not miss these events on July 1st, it will be a fun day for the whole family:
Canada Day Niagara Falls Parade (11:00 – 12:20PM)
From 11:00-12:20PM from Victoria Avenue to Queen Street witness the marching bands, giant inflatable exhibits, floats, dancers, jugglers, unicycles along the parade route, make sure you get a good view! At 12:30 the Canada Day Opening Ceremonies at Niagara Falls City Hall on Queen Street kicks off the Canada Day celebrations, there will be so much to see and do including:
Scotiabank Children’s Zone & Scotiabank Children’s Stage (12:00-4:00PM)
Most of these activities are free and will entertain children of all ages. There’s children’s inflatables, electronic animal rides, family mini-putt, rock climbing, face painting, Legoland play area, Mad Science fun station and plenty more. The children’s stage includes Baby Boogie Family Dance Party, Princesses Elsa, Anna & Rapunzel and several other wonderful events.
Canada Day Music and Art Show (1:00 – 5:00PM)
From 1:00-5:00PM you can stroll along Queen Street; St. Clair and Ontario Street to listen to some of the amazing musicians from around the Niagara area and view/purchase pieces from local artists.
Canada Day Fireworks (10:00PM)
For over 20 years, Niagara Parks has hosted Canada’s longest running fireworks series. For Canada’s 150th Anniversary the Fireworks will be truly spectacular. Get a great view from Queen Victoria Park, from the Niagara Skywheel or from the Hornblower boat. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration take a trip from Toronto to Niagara Falls and join the celebration!
