After pickup from your downtown Toronto hotel/residence, settle into your seat and enjoy the scenery as the minibus makes the 90-minute journey to your first stop – a winery.
During the 30-minute stop at the winery, enjoy a private tasting session of VQA wines. Sample red, white and the world famous Ice Wine. The winery also features a market with fresh fruit, maple syrup, cold drinks, honey and other local products. You are free to take photographs. There are non-alcoholic alternatives for those wishing to abstain from alcohol.
Next up will be a stop at Niagara-on-the-Lake for 45 minutes. This town was the site of the War of 1812 between the British and the Americans. You will fall in love with the 19th century Victorian architecture of the buildings and the streets shaded by trees and lined with flower beds. Explore the many cake shops reminiscent of European patisseries, cafes, restaurants, pubs, and antique shops.
From Niagara-on-the-Lake, enjoy the drive on Niagara Parkway that runs along the river Niagara. Stop by the Floral Clock on the parkway. The face of the clock is sloped, 40 feet in diameter, and has carpet plants and flower beds planted on it, creating an intricate design.
The hydroelectric power station, Niagara Gorge and Whirlpool Rapids will be the other stops along the Niagara Parkway. Step onto the viewing platform to view the class 6 rapids and the Niagara Gorge that was created by 12,000 years of erosion.
Next will be a stop on Niagara Parkway promenade to get a clear view of all the 3 Niagara waterfalls. Take the Hornblower boat cruise for exhilarating and awe-inspiring views of the waterfalls from close quarters.
After the boat cruise, 2 to 3 hours will be provided for you to have lunch, do some shopping and explore around on your own.
The tour will depart from Niagara Falls at 4:00 p.m. and will be back in Toronto by 6:00 p.m.
