Your flight will first take off towards Niagara-on-the-Lake, where you’ll see the two historic forts built by the French and the British. View the soaring skyscrapers of Toronto 31 miles (50 km) away across Lake Ontario. Next, head south and fly in American airspace – across the vineyards and parallel to the Niagara River. A few minutes later, you’ll see two small lakes, the reservoirs for the hydroelectric dams on both the U.S. and Canadian side of the border. These dams provide inexpensive and environmentally friendly hydroelectric power to the whole region.
From the dams, you’ll fly you over Queenston Heights Battle Ground from the War of 1812 & the 100 Years War. Next, see the Niagara River Gorge and Whirlpool. Further on, you’ll get a magnificent view of all the 3 falls that make up Niagara Falls. The American Falls on the U.S. side and Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian Side are breathtaking!
Next, fly west to view the engineering marvel of the Welland Canal, a ship canal connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, allowing ships to bypass Niagara Falls.
