Niagara Falls’ iconic boat ride to see the Falls is operated by Hornblower Niagara Cruises on the Canadian side. The boat ride starts and ends on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
The daytime Hornblower Niagara Cruise is called Voyage to the Falls and the nighttime cruise is called Falls Fireworks Cruise.
The Niagara Falls Boat Tour at Night or Falls Fireworks Cruise is available between May and October, but only when there is a fireworks display over Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls Boat Tour at Night – A Reason to Visit Niagara Falls, Canada
From May to October, on select nights, fireworks are set off at 10:00 p.m. from Queen Victoria Park by Niagara Parks Commission. It is visible from many places on both the US and Canadian sides.
The best view of the fireworks, however, is with the Falls Fireworks Cruise which is scheduled around the time of the fireworks. Only Hornblower Niagara Cruises operates a boat ride at 10:00 p.m. There is no boat ride at this hour on the US side.
If you want to view the fireworks from Niagara River, you have to take the Niagara Falls Boat Tour at Night from the Canadian side.
Falls Illumination and Falls Fireworks
This 40-minute boat ride starts at 9:30 p.m. and ends at 10:10 p.m.
The Hornblower boat sails close to the US side so passengers can view the colorfully illuminated Bridal Veil and American Falls from a very close range. The boat lingers at Horseshoe Falls for a few seconds for a light mist experience.
As it turns back, you can view the fireworks display from the Niagara River. This 10-minute display of colorful fireworks lights up the night sky over Niagara Falls, making it look magical.
The Niagara Falls Boat Tour at Night on the Canadian side (Falls Fireworks Cruise) is available only on select days of the year.
