Niagara Falls Segway Tours

While in Niagara Falls, discover the Niagara Region by taking a Segway tour of Port Dalhousie or Welland Canal in St. Catharines.
Location: St. Catharines, Canada
Duration: 60 minutes (approx.)

Take a Segway tour around St. Catharines, the largest city in Canada’s Niagara Region and just 15-20 minutes away from Niagara Falls. We offer 3 carefully planned Segway tours that include a training session and safety helmets.

Each tour will begin with a 10 or 15 minute training lesson, during which you’ll learn how to operate and ride a Segway. You’ll be allowed to practice at a slow pace for a few minutes. Once you are confident, you can switch to regular speed and practice again. The tour will commence only when all are confident about riding the Segway.

The Welland Canal Segway tours will begin at the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canal Centre located at 1932 Welland Canals Parkway, ON L2R 7K6. This guided tour will take you on a paved pathway along the Welland Canal, with stops along the way.

Welland Canal – 1-hour tour (5 km): This is also known as the “Twin-Flight Locks Tour”. This tour about 5 km and takes you up to the Niagara Escarpment and back.

You will be taken all the way up to Lock 6. There will be 6 stops along the way highlighting the history and engineering of the canal. After a break at Lock 4, you will proceed to Lock 5 and 6, where you will be given an opportunity to take pictures.

Welland Canal – 2-hour tour (9 km): This is also called the Lock 7 tour and covers a distance of roughly 9 km.

This tour follows the same path as the twin-flight locks tour but goes further, all the way upto Lock 7 observation deck and Thorold Museum. On the way, you’ll pass by murals painted in 2006, providing a lasting legacy for the city of Thorold.

Port Dalhousie tour – 45 minutes (3 km): Port Dalhousie in St. Catharines is known for its waterfront appeal. This tour will cover a distance of 3 km. The Welland Canal began here in the early 1800s and some of the original locks can still be seen.

This tour starts at Rennie Park and crosses the bridge that joins Rennie Park to Jaycee Gardens with beautiful views of the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta course.

Please note: Each tour must be booked in advance.
