1000 Islands Day Tour With Islands Cruise (1-6 People)
Overview
French explorers first discovered the area of the 1000 Islands in the mid-1500s.
An archipelago of 1864 picturesque islands stretches for about 80 kilometres from where Lake Ontario meets the St. Lawrence River's source and is shared by Canada and the United States as part of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
The Great Canadian Shield, which includes the majority of these islands, was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2002. Everyone who visits the area can appreciate the natural splendour of the Thousand Islands.
Highlights
Within the St. Lawrence River, 1000 islands appear about three hours northeast of Toronto. You will have the opportunity to explore this magnificent scenic area surrounded by flowing waterways throughout your tour.
Your journey begins in "the heart of the islands," a stunning region of Canada. You'll join a cruise ship that will take you past a series of beautiful islands of various sizes and shapes, ending in the spectacular and romantic Boldt Castle, built on the landscape-shaped "Heart Island."
The historical relevance and importance of the people who contributed to the growth and prosperity of this area will be discussed on board the cruise ship in numerous languages. The following are some of the sites you will enjoy:
Free pick up from all hotels and B&Bs in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke & Oakville, including Hotels near the Toronto Pearson International Airport. If you are not staying at a hotel or B&B, you would be asked to come to one of our centralized pickup locations.
You are dropped off at your place of pickup after your 1000 Islands Day Tour! (dropoff time depends on local traffic conditions or delays)
To change/cancel 1000 Islands Day Tour dates please call or email us.
Customers will receive a FULL REFUND if they call at least 48 hours ahead to cancel.
If a Day is cancelled less than 48 hours ahead NO REFUND will be provided.
You are responsible for arriving on time to your 1000 Islands Day Tour. The pickup vehicle will usually wait for a few minutes; however, if you arrive late and miss the tour, NO REFUND will be provided. ToNiagara will specify your pickup time and location through email.
If, for any reason your tour is cancelled (due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances), you will be notified as soon as possible and receive a FULL REFUND to your credit card or any other method of payment as applicable.
Rescheduling your tour to another date is free of charge subject to availability.
If you are switching to a less expensive tour, ToNiagara will refund the difference to your credit card.
In the rare event of a bus/vehicle breakdown all efforts will be made to continue the tour (another vehicle or vehicles may be sent to pick you up.) NO REFUND will be provided for any time lost on the tour or change in the passenger vehicle. If the tour is cancelled due to a bus/vehicle breakdown ToNiagara will provide a full refund.
