With beautiful views of Niagara Falls, Niagara Duty Free is located on the Canadian side of the Rainbow Bridge, which connects Niagara Falls, Ontario to Niagara Falls, New York.
The Rainbow Bridge is a well known secret to the locals, as a quick entry point to the USA. No toll is required to travel across the Rainbow Bridge into the USA.
Niagara Duty Free was built in 1996 and the shop name comes from the fact that the original “customs house” dating to 1825, is the red brick section that faces Queen Street.
Duty Free shops offer tobacco, alcohol, clothing, perfume, jewellery, assorted candy, clothing and giftware.
Exemptions vary for residents of Canada, the United States and other countries and should be verified prior to any purchases. Many Duty Free shops also provide currency exchange and information for the Foreign Convention and Tour Incentive Program.
Niagara Duty Free offers free parking, clean restrooms, multi-lingual sales clerks and an ATM machine for shopping convenience.
A pre-shop service is available and all major credit cards are accepted. There is also a rewards program in place.
